I rly need some help trying to figure out whats wrong with my dell alienware computer.

I just called the tech support and since the warrenty is out. its gonna cost me some moolah that its gonna take months for me to save. It will shut off at random times and have trouble rebooting. there were ever a few where I can hear the system booting up just fine through my speakers but nothing shows up on the screen.PLEASE help me figure out whats going on.

i followed all the steps I could but i’m still stuck at the same point as before.
“And I don’t know if i’m trying in install or uninstall a program. DO i Need to uninsall something first?”

You have to make a full factory reset and a new installation of the system software (operating system).
If you’re not able to do it yourself bring it to the computer shop where you bought it or hire an expert to come to you and make it for you.

ok. i just downloaded the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 2.5.0.1 and it wiped out a lot of my programs. now i’ll try to do what was posted preciously.

a friend of mine said that it could be the video card thats causing troubles. which is causing the computer to overheat and then it shuts off. is that possible? It only happens when i try to play a computer game.

Yeah, overheating could be a reason.

But more probably is that your pc is overcharged with the game software.

But maybe the hard disk is too full meanwhile. And the operating system needs quite a lot of free space on the hard disk to handle complex actions.
