I’ve fallen for a guy that I turned down.
We were really good friends in college and had a lot of classes together. Naturally we became close and we would goof around all the time. We developed feelings for each other.
When he decided to pursue me a year later, I nonverbally turned him down because his cousins were me room mates and didn’t want me anywhere near him. I didn’t want to make my life any more complicated at the time. I didn’t know that he would totally give up on me.
6 months later, I can’t stop thinking about him. I realize that I’ve fallen in love with him but every time I try to talk to him, he acts really awkward and avoids looking me in the eyes. Have I hurt him too much to fix this? I don’t know what to do.
