i always hear that you should only eat if you are hungry.

i can go all day without eating and not get hungry. i know this is a dumb question and i know the answer… but should i still eat? i know i have to eat to live but most of the time i really just am not hungry at all. it’s annoying too cuz i want to eat but i’m not hungry and because of that i feel like i shouldn’t eat. it’s weird and sometimes frustrating.

You should always eat something, no matter if youre hungry or not. This kind of sounds like the beginning of an eating disorder. I dont know, just my opinion. Just try to atleast consume “something” during the day.

The body needs fuel, and if you don´t give it any it´s going to eat itself.
You can go a while without food and not harm yourself, but if this is regular, then you´ll be in for trouble down the road. There is only so much in the body to make for all the stuff needed on a daily basis and trouble comes fast and hard after neglect.

In the books i have read it says that one should always eat breakfast even though not hungry. As one has been fasting all night. (at least if one is sleeping like one should) In addition it´s not recommended going more than max 6 hours awake without eating. There is probably some sway, but there are processes that is fundamentally the same within most of us. When you learn about how the systems work, it´s a no-brainer really.

You should definitely still eat. I know it can be hard when you don’t have an appetite. I suggest buying different types of foods that you like. Then, you’ll have more options in front of you and hopefully you’ll have cravings for something.

I have some trouble with this so I also drink Ensure. It’s a really healthy drink that they often give to people with eating disorders. You probably aren’t getting enough protein, vitamin D, etc, so it’d be really good for you.
I think the dark chocolate ones are delicious.
