help me please!

so im at a loss on what to do on this one, i have been with my boyfriend for 2 years now and we have our own place but i dont feel like he really cares that im here anymore hes always working and when he gets home hes always on the computer and now he has started drinking everynight and he even took a drink to work and its worring me and i have conferted him about this and he told me that he can do it and i have gotten rid of all alchol and he just gets more all my friends are telling me to leave him but i have been with him for so long idk what it would be like with out him but i cant take the pain anymore and the consetent lonley feeling

How do we leave the people we love? How do we destroy a bond and kill the feelings we have? I don’t know either. But I do know that he won’t get better until he wants to get better. And he won’t want to until he recognizes that there is a problem. Is there any way you can help him realize what is at stake? His money, car, job, and you?

Pray for him, or leave him. Love hasn’t got much to do with living your life the way you want. If he won’t listen or respond to love, then you do NOT need him in your life in any capacity except as someone who needs kindness.

if he loses me he loses the car i am the one who has a car that he drives, and i have tried to tell him if things dont change then i would have to leave and he just doesnt get it

Dont feel sorry for him. Pack your stuff and leave. If he loves you, he will try to patch things up. But don’t just expect him to change because he won’t.

The only thing to do is follow through. You can’t allow him to get away with this behavior, so if he doesn’t change, you must leave.

so i talked to him and he basically told me that if i took a few days to go down and see my family and be with my support system that he would pack up and leave while i was gone and that for talking to my best friend about whats going on that i was dumber then a box of rocks for telling her what was going on
