Why isn’t the reflection in water the same exact image you see above it?

If you were looking at a bridge and the water beneath it, you see the bridge and its reflection. However, the real image is only the bridge. The reflection you see shows the underside of the bridge as well.

Why do you see the underside of the bridge in the reflection opposed to two of the exact same bridge?

The image of the bridge that you see in the water is the light rays that were reflected off the bridge into the water and reflected into your eyes. The angles are like how light bounces off mirrors in science experiments, or like if you make a periscope. Does that help?
