If I am from Ohio, but am going to be visiting family

in California, and give birth to my baby while being out there, will she be a legal resident of CA or OH?

She will be a legal citizen of the U.S.
That’s enough, and she can reside everywhere in the U.S.

Well, I was curious because her father is from CA and at times he threatens to try to take her and our 1 year old son from me when we get into an argument.
I just wanted to know if she were to be born there, if it’d be more of a struggle if that custody battle would occur. Mind you, he’s never worked a day in his life or even finished high school. I’m going out there so that his family may see our son, and won’t be able to travel back because I’ll be too far along in my pregnancy.
