hey guys.

umm i had unprotected sex monday and the next day i took my birth control as usual. today im having symptoms of my period. but no sign of blood. if i just keep taking my bc everyday do u think it will prevent pregnancy?

Were you taking your birth control regularly before that? Even if you were, birth control will not always keep you from getting pregnant, and it does not protect against diseases or anything.

Apparently, the best thing to do would be to take the morning after pill within three days of having unprotected sex, but even that might not work. You should not use it unless it is really necessary, because I’ve heard from many different places that you can build up some kind of immunity to it.

The BEST thing that you can do is to avoid unprotected sex until you’re married and ready to have children. Or after menopause.
