United states of europe?

Can someone tell me the positives of us (english/british)being in the eu. What are the positives of the eu in general. I’ve just scanned past the daily politics program,it’s said we’re heading towards the US of E or a break up of the eurozone. With me knowing little about the EU (and our politicians certainly don’t tell us the + & -)i’d probably support the break up. Or am i wrong to do so?

The positive issue with EU is that if you´re high up on the pyramid, you get more to play with.

For the people.. Well, you can see how well everything seems to fall in place right now..

Some of the biggest benefits include:

Protection of the environment. EU laws place standards on levels of pollution which is a particular problem when so many countries are land-locked. Pouring pollutants into rivers in Europe obviously affects other countries that the river passes through. A similar thing with the air.

Equal opportunities. The first EU treaty set out clear views for equal opportunities in the work place and bans discrimination.

Freedom and security. EU citizens can travel across Europe freely without a passport. Students can take easy advantage of foreign-exchange opportunities and workers can travel to countries that have work vacancies suitable to them. EU citizens can live and work in any EU state they wish. There is also a larger pool of resources available to tackle crime and terrorism, and the prevention of cross-border trafficking of drugs, supplies and people is easier with cooperation within the EU.

you aren’t wrong to think so - i’ve been a critic of the eurozone since it was first formed.

Therefore i’m not going to unload bias comments on you and just say to look around the web (wiki and google are your friends here!) and do your own reasearch, and therefore make up your own mind

That way when someone challenges you you will know what they are talking about, and can defend your own views :)
