Just got a message from an ex of mine from over 2 years ago.

Long story short, it was her apologizing.
This my first of 7 days of vacation, and now I doubt I’ll be able to enjoy a single one of them. Too many old wounds opened at once.

How do you just relax? How can I just forget about it, and find a little bit of peace and happiness?

Uhm, realize it was two years ago and it’s no big deal… So what if she messaged you, just ignore it.

Have to put it behind you now. The fact that she did that changes nothing in your current life. Before she called you were happy and looking forward NOT backward. Let what is dead be buried and settled. You have a whole new life, BE IN THIS MOMENT nothing else matters.

Let nothing in life have that much control over you. She is not part of your happiness and you have already wasted enough time finding that out.

I’d take a guess that she took this action more for herself than for you.

drop it likes it hot - can’t touch that - for-get-about-it. Period. Think about you got thru that and ain’t no way you’re going to turn around back into it - no wayy - whatever you do, don’t respond, it’s a can of worms. Now you can really celebrate your vacation! Hurrah!
