You know what I’m thinking…

? I’m thinking that Psychologists don’t REALLY understand how beliefs work.

Well I guess I just want to talk. I should sleep, but I don’t want to. Could I ask what brought you to that conclusion about psychologists?

I think if you started now, reading articles about the psychology of belief, you wouldn’t finish reading the various perspectives and understandings within one or one thousand lifetimes.

The should understand how beliefs work to the degree of how they affect your behavior and how they’re formulated to begin with. Anything further than that and you’re talking religion and existentialism. You can leave that up to to philosophers, religious leaders and other qualified individuals.
I’d be interested to hear how you formulated your belief about psychologist’s comprehension of belief. :)

Belief is a mind deviation just like any other — but not a seriously dangerous one. That’s why most psychologists don’t care about.

That’s a very unusual assertion… probably because English isn’t your first language. Belief is knowledge, it’s one of the most studied things in psychology, philosophy, and every other field of study. Here’s reference you could study about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belief

But belief means also religious faith.
And the poster didn’t specified it.
It’s also mentioned in your Wiki link: “Most individuals believe the religion they were taught in childhood.”

lol, “wil” not they don’t, I can tell you right now they don’t understand how your beliefs affect your behavior, and how beliefs can be created in the first place.

You know, I can’t agree with you until you give me a justification. What makes you think this?

Why did you start this discussion if you have no intention of sharing?
That’s like me saying “M theory is flawed!”
“Oh yes? How so?”
“Oh, you know, personal experience, and that’s personal”.
You’re anonymous here. You’re in an impersonal space.
