As long as you do what you want i hope your parents are happy! Just sit them down and tell them the reasons why you do not wanna go into the military.Explain, go into detail, tell them what you want to do with your life,if your thinking about collage tell them and if they still dont understand then it is there loss,do what you want to do!

If it helps in the short term, tell them if you ever joined the military, you wouldn’t want to be just a grunt. You’d want to be an officer or other position of high ranking and that by going to university you’ll be increasing your chances at that.
That could get them off your back.
Ask them why they want you to join the military. Maybe they have money issues they haven’t told you about and cannot afford to pay your fees.

air force has tons of females. same with the navy. army is about 10:1 guys, marines even more so. not sure about coast guard.

it’s not that bad, and you’ll get a lot of money for college. just pick a useful job to learn.

if you got the money for college already, do that. but if you haven’t been planning to get into college already, you’re going to skip a year. that’s a lot of opportunity lost and you could instead be 1/4 done with an enlistment.

Maybe you can just tell them straight up, no this is not what I want, I want this___. It’s your life and your decision. Never let anyone push you into something you don’t want to whether their push is for good or bad. You are your own person and never forget that.
