i live in India.i just completed my 10th.my parents

where expecting me to score 80% and above but unfortunately when the results came out i just got 72%. all my classmates got 80% and above. my mom wanted me to go in the science field i too am interested in biology but with my marks i wont be able to get admission in any good college. if i die i will be able to cease my moms pain and stress. if i die my mum will not have to lie to my friends parents that i got 80%. if i suicide my mum will not be ashamed of me anymore. my mom has sacrificed so much for me and i repay her by getting such bad marks. i let her down . whats the use of hanging on to life anymore?

I understand how you feel, I know it hurts like hell when your mother lie about your marks. I’ve been through the same thing, but let me tell you something killing yourself won’t help anyone, if any you will make your mother even more ashamed. You said she gave up everything for you, how would you feel if you were in her shoe, how would you feel if you gave all you can to your kid and he repaid you by killing him/her self. Killing yourself is just so cruel and it’s not the answer believe me.

May be it’s a good thing that you didn’t get to study biology, may be if you did it wouldn’t have worked out maybe you would have failed. Just accept your your grades and try to work harder to ace whatever you study now. Choose something you are good at, make your mother proud of you. And stop thinking about killing yourself it will only make her even more sad

i don’t see what the big deal is. life is full of disappointments, your mom being surprised by bad marks is one of them. however they’re usually fixable, death however is not. she sacrificed so much so her son could go kill himself…i don’t think so. she’s expecting you to do something with your life, not waste it. granted you may have done average(or less than average? whatever), but you can still live your life.
