boyfriend help: I’m probably freaking out over nothing. - Help.com

I’m probably freaking out over nothing.

My boyfriend and I have been doing a long distance relationship for the past couple of weeks because my work keeps me about an hour away from him (just for the summer) We text everyday but lately he has seemed sort of distant. When we talk he usually replies with one word answers. I usually am the one who has to initiate the conversation. Tonight we were chatting on facebook and he explained how he was tired so i told him goodnight etc. However it’s been a while and he is still logged on to facebook. I know this sounds silly and juvenile (though I am 22) but could he be getting sick of me? I know this whole post sounds childish and I’m sure I’m reading too much into this but I’m pretty worried nonetheless.

Hmmm…
Mija, i wouldnt necessarily read too much into what he not writing in his texts to you.
He’s probably just not big chatter when it comes to texting.
My advice is to give him a little space. Even couples need space to wind down and get into their normal routines of the evening.
Give it some time. If after a few weeks he seems distant then ask him tactfully about it.
Goodluck!

Just because he’s logged on to facebook, doesn’t mean he’s on facebook.
