Do you think she will say yes or no?

Hi I already have two dogs and I walk, train, feed and do agility with them. Though they are meant to be family pets.

So this year I thought I’d like a dog I could show at championships etc so I started researching and boiled it down to one breed. First off my mother didn’t like the look and the fact you couldn’t let them off lead and I agreed after a day or so. So then I found, about two months ago, the breed I know is right and my mother didn’t say no.

I found a champion breeder and when the litter is due, which is in December. I told my mother the price, breeder info, showed her pics of the sire and dam and we are going to go meet the breed up close and have arranged to talk to a long time owner/breeder at the show, who actually knows my breeder at a championship show.

I always do extensive research and know of the temperament and health problems of the breed. I’ve got bookmarks and videos on training, introducing to my current dogs and the cat, grooming, etc.

I told her all of this and she took it in.

She is getting pets, chickens, in August.

PS-Money isn’t an object. All three dogs would have lots of attention and love. I wouldn’t move out or neglect my duties for personal reasons. My brother is older than me, does nothing for he current dogs and doesn’t want another or the chickens, but she’s getting them anyway. He’ll move out in a few years anyway.

The puppy will be a Keeshond.

My question is does it sound like she will let me get it?

Either you accept mother’s rules or you move out. What else!
And you have already two dogs, why a third one?

She hasn’t said no, so it’s not really accepting her rules or not.

I would like a show dog and like I have said I cannot move out for personal/emotional reasons.

I want the third dog to show. My current dogs are meant to be everyone’s dogs but I’m the only one that will do things for them. I won’t mind doing this if the third dog is considered mine.
