so i’m a highschool student and im taking art, and i need to make a portfolio, showing a variety of different styles, techniques etc.

i plan on doing paintings and pencil and/or charcoal sketches. anyways, i don’t really have any ideas of what i want to paint/draw, so does anyone have any ideas or references i could use, im a little stumped. also im a pretty good artist, so i want something challenging, so if you guys know of anything i could use, that would be great!!

Drawing your daydreams or night dreams might be fun. I sometimes like to sketch the faces of my family with whatever utensils are closest. That can be fun. It is good practice, and once and a while the odd combination of materials makes for a very pretty picture.
