You need drugs, painkillers — there is no way around!
BUT:
You should find out the trigger — that’s the main point!
And to battle the trigger.

My trigger for years was the overacidification of the stomach (e.g. drinking white wine or orange juice with an empty stomach before eating). I detected this just accidentally.
But others have an other trigger (hunger, noise, etc.)
Important: If you are attentive to your body you can feel the slow approach of a migraine attack, the first little signs. And then you have to take the strong painkiller AT ONCE! Don’t wait until the pain is there! Kill the peak early enough.

ALWAYS kill any physical pain and in its most early stage — otherwise your brain “learns” the pain and brings it back again and again, even if there is no physical reason anymore.
