where to keep a van until we can pay for a new transmission?

the transmission is broken, and we can’t afford a new one yet, so we started payments on a new car which we can afford. the problem is, the apartment policy is that you can’t have a vehicle just sitting in the garage not being used. the van has a lot of new parts that we paid for, it just needs a new transmission. we’re hoping to keep it, so is there any way we can store it until the money gets better, considering the policy and all?

You could contact a storage facility and see what they charge. But if you choose that path ask how secure their place is (I’ve seen a lot of shattered windows on vehicles before).

Otherwise see if a friend could house it for a while, maybe work a deal out with them.
