how do i track a lost ipod?

somebody stole my ipod touch at school and i didnt have icloud or anything but i do have the information wen im bought it but i dont have the serial number cuz i threw out the box and the apple id isnt helping but is there anyway cuz i got that ipod for my bday and had it for almost 2 years i have so many memories on it please help!

An iPod cannot be tracked, because it’s not a mobile phone.
Stolen is stolen, lost is lost.
The only thing you can do: to complain the theft to the police.
But too bad that you haven’t the serial number anymore; very little chance ever to get it back.
