depression help: I feel I’m at the end of my rope. - Help.com

I feel I’m at the end of my rope.

My wife was having an affair and I caught her. She then filed for divorce, which was finalized last month. She made me leave my house and I’ve been living with a relative since November. I started a new job working part time for the state at that time. I don’t make a lot of money and with other bills it’s been impossible to save any money. Now the relative I’m living with has told me that they want me to leave because my ex is causing problems and they don’t want the stress of all of this. I have nowhere to go. To top it off I’m out of work for an injury I sustained and have even less income then I had before. I have nothing except my car. No one cares and I don’t know what to do anymore. Can someone please, please help. I’m so depressed I can’t take it anymore.

You didn’t say where you’re living, but probably there is some shelter for homeless people where you can find a provisional umbrella.

Thank you Leana. But life seems to only dump on me. I really don’t believe I have any hope and my strength is all but gone. Coming here for help is my last try.

Sorry to hear that. First, do you have any immediate family? Second, depression comes in every human and in different ways but don’t let the depression overcome you. For, it will ruin your whole being. Be strong and move forward not just move on. Remember that there will be a bright future awaits on you after this storm in your life. Just hold on GOD.

Try calling the Salvation Army, too. They often have long lists of all the different social service programs and support groups and such in your area.

This is just a bump in the road.. I am pretty sure everything will turn itself around so that you will be able to wake up in the morning and just be grateful of whats happened!

Thanks, but it doesn’t feel like a bump in the road. It feels like I hit a truck head on. I appreciate your comments.
