Do you think working hard in studies or getting success in life is built into genes or is is a matter of luck?

Because no matter how hard and motivated I make myself , I am simply not getting into that flow.

I don’t think it is either. I think it is frame of mind and work ethic. What do you mean you aren’t getting into the flow? Do you mean you can’t motivate yourself to work hard and study? Lots of people have that problem because they don’t see themselves as entirely responsible for their own lives. They see their parents, the world, fate, friends, the government, as responsible. As soon as you start holding yourself accountable, things might change. Independence is important.

Exactly. It is a process. You have to be accountable for your own actions. Where you are is not the responsibility or lack thereof from your parents or peers, but of your own doing. If you feel unmotivated, it’s because you are allowing yourself to be so. If you feel you have no desire to move forward, it’s because you are allowing yourself to feel that way. IF you take a stand and say “I am going to be the best “XXXX” in the world!” and you strive for that, then you will be.

Don’t misunderstand me, life is full of disappointment and things will not always work out, but we have to ignore that because it will bring us down. We have to set our sights on what we want and strive for it no matter want. If you have no desire it is either because you because of doubt are holding yourself back, or you are not happy. IF the latter is the case, it is time for some reassessment.

Maybe you have just lost interest in what you are working towards. It happens. If you are still in high school, then just work through it and finish before changing paths. If college, maybe you need to change majors. If it is a job, then maybe you need to find a new one. If you are not happy or satisfied, make a change. With this change you will either find you like the new thing better, or you will realize how much better the thing before was and should find that motivation to move onward.
