job help: Hi there, - Help.com

Hi there,

Im a full time student, and a single parent living in the uk, i was just wondering if anybody knows if i am eligable for job seekers while my term time has ended from my second year to my third? I know last year i was able to get income support, but as my son is over the age of 5 now, i am unable to apply for this. I have been told im not able to get job seekers from my local job centre however they could not be 100%, when i have spoken to the finance department in university i have been told i am deffinately eligable for job seekers. I have to wait two weeks for my response from job seekers. Hopefully i will get a job before then, but i am worried about money in the mean time, as i am only recieving child tax credits and child benefit. If anybody has been in the same situation as what i have i would be very greatful for any advice or knowledge of my situation
