I was watching a beauty pageant show on TV and it made me feel so depressed

As a woman I felt really bad because of course I look nothing like them… it’s not so much a weight issue, though all the contestans were pretty thin, but it was also that they all had pretty faces, light colored eyes, impossibly thick long hair, and tall… I’m not really short or anything, but I’m not tall, my thighs are stocky because I’m pear shaped, and my face is just blegh, it’s nowhere near as beautiful as theirs… I just feel so ugly after this, becaus sure they have a talent contest, but no one cares about that, in the end it’s all about the outside. Is that the worth of a woman? Because then some guys on Facebook were they were saying that they wish they had girlfriends that looked like that, etc. It’s a national beauty pageant to choose the girl who’ll represent our country in Miss World or Miss Universe or whatever, but something like that, so that’s why everyone’s watching. I wonder if my boyfriend would also want girl who looked like that… I don’t know… what’s the worth of an ugly woman? If in the end, it’s all about beauty…

The women on the tv like that … are SICK and can not live without food for more than one day… that is NOT healthy… your over-sized? then eat smaller meals and cut back on soda pop.. watch your sugar intake just because it says “all natural” dont mean it is good for you and DONT EAT DIET FOOD it lacks the thins your body needs… and as for your Beauty… IT IS WHAT WE HAVE INSIDE that pushes outside.. and makes us what we really are . Hold your head High! i know it sounds like hot air but it really is true. those women on tv are not mentally stable they have problems with self esteem and need to be accepted by others to feel good about them selves …THAT IS BACKWARDS!!! YOUR AWESOME SMILE MORE HUGS

I think the best thing to do is not watch that stuff. Do not buy the magazines that focus only on physical appearances. Media is all about making you think you are not good enough. You need to buy there products so you can look better, feel better, and be better. It is all a bunch of BS! Don’t fall for it.

You just need to be healthy to look and feel your best. Physically and mentally healthy and happy, Then you will be attractive. You do not need to look like anyone but yourself!

Do not fall for the media trying to tell you are not good enough, because you are!

Instead of watching such stupid shows, you should boost your low self-esteem!
