Then stick up for yourself and get teachers involved. Don’t do anything that could get you into trouble because that could affect too much of your life and bullying is something that eventually goes away. Talk to the school counselor and your parents about your difficulties.

If the bullying doesn’t stop, and the school isn’t taking action, call the police.

I’m with verge on this one. Destroy the list and tell a teacher about the bullying. Reporting it should make them stop.

Reporting the bullying to the school rarely solves anything. They will call in the students in question, lecture, rant a bit, maybe suspend one or more. But when those kids return, the bullying does, too.

I say destroy your list, and the next time someone lays a finger on you call the police, report the assault, and press charges.

When a few kids have been led away in handcuffs and the school officials have sweated a few bullets worrying about lawsuits, the rotten behavior won’t be ignored like it is now.

You’re right about the reporting, but isn’t calling the police a bit drastic? If they physically bully him, sure. But if it’s verbal, then maybe he should call their parents and teachers. I don’t think an officer would arrest someone for an argument.

I don’t think it’s too drastic, at all. In my experience, schools do next to nothing to combat bullying. They teach classes in tolerance and pay lip service to peaceful learning environments, but do almost nothing to enforce the idea.

Face it: if one adult assaults another, the police are called and action is taken. But at school one kid may assault a dozen others and the worst punishment is an afternoon of detention -and then he’s put right back in the classroom with his victims so he can make another day of hell for whoever turned him in.

I say call the police and press charges. The police may choose not to arrest the first time or the second or even the third. But after they’ve shown up to take complaints about Li’l Johnny Smith and his habit of hurting other students enough times, they’ll start paying attention.

Notify school officials–with your parents–or call the police (also with your parents). You don’t have to accept bullying. Today a school that doesn’t stop bullying will get its pants sued off. But your parents have to put the fear of God into school administrators. Ask your mom and dad to talk to the principal, and to let him/her know they mean business!

Don’t descend to the level of your bullies! Never allow inferior people to be your teacher or role model! Bullies are sick. Do not follow their example!
