I am sick of looking for work!

I have been searching for work for myself, a friend also and it has been a long road. Some of the jobs we apply for don’t even exist? We pump out several resumes a day and no responses?I can’t find any unique, new way to showcase our resumes online.I am getting to the end of my rope and don’t know what else to try.We have tried employment agencies, headhunters, all popular job websites, looking in all towns not just our area.AAAHHH!!!!!

Economies all over the world are in the toilet. The upper 1 percent, trying to get even richer, wrecked the financial underpinnings of the US and European economies.

Businesses are scared to hire right now. That’s a fact.

Check out the military. They are still hiring. And please don’t tell me that you’re too good to do that.

Hi,
I am in the same situation, being 59. I have stopped looking for work and look for opportunities to sell things, in my case hemp & chia seeds and juice retreats (in France where most people have never heard about those, so there is a market to develop). It may be difficult but you will find the idea and the occupation, you can be passionate about; if you do, you will attract success, I promise.
I wish you the best

Well, despite the internet and all being the ‘in thing’, nothing beats ‘cold calling’. Also, word of mouth works well if you’re the social type. If worst comes to worst, and money gets a bit too tight, there are also the lower paying jobs (dishwashing, yardwork, watress, etc.) that, while not preferred, can keep food on the table and a roof over your head till something shows up.

Oh boy, let me tell you. You’re not alone in this predicament. It seems like it’s so difficult for anyone to take a chance on you even if you’ve gone to university. I agree with big willy, that you have to call people. You have to put yourself out there. Applying online does very little, it doesn’t hurt, but it doesn’t push you to pursue work beyond the monitor.

You have to pressure yourself, find confidence and approach businesses and ask if they are hiring. I don’t know of any other way.
