Dude that looks like a brownie and some pills. it’s probably drugs. confrontation!!!!!

Cannabis, far less harm than drink, trouble is people consume it with an addictive drug, and may become dependant on that, tobbaco.

If the smoke tobbaco then I would move out they are an addict.

As it is cannabis and not addictive you are not living with an addict, the little round things I am not sure may be filters

I kind of thought the big thing was cannabis (looks like hash), but what are the little black things? They are like small, black cylinders.

It was inside a small box with cigarrette papers and a lighter

How does it smell, this “brownie”?
Like it was there in the box, it could also be some pressed cannabis (the resin of the Marijuana plant), but would be a huge quantity.

It smells really sweet, so it’s probably some sort of cannabis. The little black cylinders smell even sweeter.

Also, where can he buy this stuff?! He doesn’t go out much, and when he does, he goes with me, and I didn’t see him buying it…

Hash is leafage, Cannabis is resin.
So there is no Hash there, only Cannabis, if.

Yeah, they look like small cuts of a long cylinder. They don’t really look like pills, but rather some sort of concentrated substance.

The small black pills are actually temporal sickness suppositories. Time travelers use them to help deal with the dissociative 4th dimensional effects from being moved out of their natural temporal state.

The brownie like thing is actually a life form from the 30th century, brought back to save the human race from the coming invasion.

But I’ve said too much…

Cannabis can lead to psychosis - it’s not harmless. The majority of cannabis smokers end up with depressions and or paranoia later in life, Now you have your answer before you flip with your housemate, it may be worth finding out why he wants to take drugs and if there are any other issues - ie. doesn’t get out much = possibly lonely, depressed, feeling uncool and so on. Nobody just takes drugs for the sake of it. EVERYONE has something that they know about or deep within that needs dealing with. I hope it goes well.
If he refuses to stop or to get help or after several of your attempts to even discuss it with you, just tell him that you will always be his friend and will be there for him, but you don’t want to be around drugs (regardless of what he & others say) and that you want to be a law abiding citizen, and for that reason you will be looking for a new house mate. You could of course help him whilst you are no longer his house mate and save yourself stress. Help yourself so that you are able to help him - get out of the situation.

My response was as serious as this situation deserves. You said you ‘found’ this item on your room mates table while cleaning. When it was in a box you apparently opened completely disregarding your room mates privacy.

You say he might be a drug addict. Is he showing signs of drug addiction? Does he have a job? Does he pay his share of the rent?

Has your room mate given you any reason to suspect he’s a dangerous drug user? And if so, why haven’t you moved out?

Is he dealing? Are strange people coming by to buy drugs?

Do you, in short, have any reason to think anything he is doing is detrimental to your safety?

If yes, then talk to him about it or move out.
If not, then mind your own business and stop invading his privacy.

Also: Learn how to operate a camera. The pic is so blurry its impossible to tell what that stuff is anyway.

Hashish (with the component THC) cannot lead to a SUBSTANCE addiction — only to a kind of addiction to the feeling (like to not be able to stop taking hashish).
Other drugs like heroin, crack or cocaine (as well as alcohol and tobacco) are substantially addictive.

So your room mate is NOT a drug addict, if he/she is consuming Hashish from time to time.

This is all silly. You found something on a table with cigarette papers and a lighter. Cigarettes are far more dangerous and addictive than the various things those other things might be. This is including the legal factors of “reefer-madness” or the drug war. Tobacco is really dangerous. If you have to be worried you should worry about that.
