I want to change my personality and my appearance

But I don’t know where to start can someone please give me some help or guidance, I am a teenage girl and I understand it is common for teens to be unhappy with themselves and I don’t want people responding with answers like ‘be happy with who you are’ because I don’t feel like I am the type of person I want to be.

http://youtu.be/NDq36YD1ESM Your post reminds me of this song :) If you want to change your appearance, change it :) Just don’t exagerate, you will regret it later. Go and have a new haircut, buy some new clothes, anything you like. When I was seventeen, I shaved my head bald against my mother’s wishes, just because I hated my face, well it was a teen thing, but I don’t regret it. I looked terrible bald, and I counted the minutes till my hair grew back, but it was a start for accepting my face. My advice is this: stop wanting, and start doing. Don’t expect advices from people telling you how to look or what kind of personality to have. If you want a new look, do it. If you want to take up a new hobby, do it. If you want to do something new and crazy, try it. Where to start? You start by knowing first what you really want. You can’t want change and not know WHAT to change.

so you want to be a completely different person…

hmm, well theres not too much you can do with looks, maybe change your hair and put makeup on but you cant make a horse into a swan, ya know.

cant really change personality either, it happens gradually and its usually not noticeable. i know thats n ot much but you cant really change the core of your being

Just live the way you want to live.
Want to be more outgoing? BE more outgoing. Want to be more quiet? BE more quiet.
I mean, changing your personality is hard. It takes time and dedication and it takes your effort a little more each day. You can never really change who you are, but you can smooth out all the edges.

As for your appearance, that’s a little more easy. The biggest difference you can make is the way you stand, walk, talk, smile, laugh, and generally the way you compose yourself around others. You can cut your hair, style it, curl it, straighten it, perm it, braid it, pin it, fry it, bleach it, whatever you want. You can make it red, black, brown, blonde, gray, copper, golden, strawberry, auburn, platinum, or any combination. Anything you can think of. You can get a tan, you can work out, get new clothes, change your style, say new things, and make new friends. You can, at any time, change who you are.
