Rant: Why can’t I make money by doing something that I have passion for without world hitting back on me.
The problem is I finally found something that I really liked to do, was easy for me to do and going well…until police. Now they want to even check my email and my phone. I told them there was nothing wrong in what I was doing (may be a little but I was making money out of it so I lied anyways) but they just don’t listen. Why is life so tough…
And taxes? common..at least they should told me it in school/college or somewhere before coming to my house on it..i don’t even know the procedure of how and when to fill taxes…and its my money anyways

In the United States you are required to report and pay taxes on income over a certain amount.

Where do you live? My government doesnt care about stuff like that. They just want a sentence explaining the kind of work I do.

Do you think I tutor students online is a good idea to say? And that they are not then gonna bother me about questions like how many students do I teach, how much each pay etc. to explain the constant trickle of money in my account.

What details do I need to include there. Can I just write in it that I teach online students and they pay me money through online funds transfer?

It really depends where you live. Do you tutor students online? What information are they asking for?

I live in a country similar to States and its laws. I donot teach students online but my clients(from whom money has come) can say i taught them. Although no proof. Do i need to go in such deep details if police asks? No-one has officially asked any such thing yet , though. (ofcourse I don’t do any morally wrong act. although i think it might be a little illegal if i go in deep-deep analysis of it)

It depends on the specific laws where you live. Where I live I can just put “self-employed” and not tell them anything, because I have studied the rules and know that’s okay. If anyone wanted to deeply question me about it, I would just tell the simple truths. I’m pretty sure if I made a lot more money that I’d have to tell them a lot more, but I haven’t had the need to study the laws about that yet.

Seems that you’re suspected of doing unlawful business actions. If so the police may act by order of the prosecution.
