I don’t have any references.

Is it really a big deal for a sunday job. I’m 17 and don’t have much experience. I volunteer at the shop i’m applying for and the manager is the one who told me about the job and encouraged me to apply so she doesn’t have top train newbies. She’s also the one who’ll be interviewing me so will i need references?
Also the application say canvanssing will result in disqualification, what does that mean?

With 17 and without having had any job before, you cannot tell job references. But probably you could name as references teachers or other (adult) persons who know you .
BUT: Ask them kindly BEFORE if you may name them!

Canvassing in correspondence with application means to do any attempt to unfairly further your application.
E.g. If you know or if you are related to someone that works in the company and you use them to try and increase or further the chances of success you can be disqualified.
