will writing down vocabulary words a bunch of times help you learn a language?

hi, i am learning swedish and i was wondering if that will help?
i also know danish by the way if that helps :)

it does if you write its meaning and use it in a sentence… it helps if you use a different one every time….

Writing down words can help you to memorize them, but it doesn’t help at all to USE the language in a correct way.
