What is behind his words?

In a few of conversation i had with him, he told me at the end “when i have a wife…” or “when i have kids…” (and what he wants) he only says that in front of me. He opened himself to me a lot and so did i. He’s a great guy, he’s a really good example..
Anyways… so i think it’s not really usual that guys say “when i have a wife i’ll..” “when i have kids…” . But don’t get me wrong, i like what he says. Like when he said “when i have a wife i’ll make sure first that she’s organized before i marry her” i just thought ‘crap i’m gonna start being very organized. Alright so whatcha guys think? i know it’s a hard question but at least just say something.. thanks :D bye

Ask him. Couldn’t hurt. Just don’t be too intense.

I think he was trying to open up to you about his deeper life plans, sort of letting you in on a more familiar level. It seems like it didn’t work since you turned around and exposed the discussion to the critical eyes of random strangers. He’ll be able to feel that and won’t be quite so forthcoming in the future, unless he has a strong interest in having a good friendship with you, in which case any minor signs like this will be ignored and he’ll keep trying to talk about the more important things with you.

The only reason I ever talk like that to a woman is because I want her to view me as that sort of person. In other words, he wants you to see him on a relationship level.

I could be wrong, but without knowing the context of the conversation and your relationship to him it’s hard to say.

I’ve known lots of guys who talk about that stuff. Stereo types don’t often hold up true.

No, I think if a guy is telling you “when I have a wife” he is thinking about getting married soon. You could be voted most likely to succeed with a little organizational skills….

Well, at first impression it seems you’re taking it in a positive light, which is good. I think everyone may have their own interpretation of what he’s trying to say, but in my opinion he may be hinting that you’re the kind of “woman-material” he’s searching for in life. Can’t say that with 100% certainty, but that’s how I’d do it haha.

Just curious, what do you think about it?

Yes, he’s serious about you. And he is saying he wants a wife who isn’t a slob, who knows how to take care of herself and “things” that have to do with life, like paying bills and keeping receipts.

He doesn’t want a princess who never lifts a finger to do anything and who is a slob.

Who does? ;-)
