Go to Army Emergency Relief (AER). They have a rep at every Army post. Plus the Air Force and Navy have their own equivalents. You can get a loan or an outright grant! Your husband will have to do the paperwork!

We had to get a aer when we got here to get into our home. We got a Omni loan to pay for the hotel. We were never reimburse for our expenses while pcsing, we never recieved dla or tla. We have been scr$)(( by the military. Finance won’t even take my calls anymore. They said because I shared 50 50 custody with my x they were not responsable for their travel expenses and as for reimbursing us it will get there when it gets there is what I was told. I don’t know what else to do, I have applies for every loan out there ams my credit just ismt good enough. I want my babie boys and no one will help me.

What is a aer? That you needed to get in your home? Do you mean car? How did you get a Omni loan so quick to pay for a hotel if your credit is so bad that you can’t get one for airline tickets for your babies!! Who did you leave your kids with 8 years and 7 years of age in Hawaii with?? That they are in a bad place? Why would you even get on a plane and leave your kids there to begin with? Then you have a house full of furniture that you are going to sell to help your babies get there? Is this were you live now? And if so who paid for the furniture where your at? I’m sorry but your post does not make sense what so ever…..I would hope you are just not explaining yourself correctly because none of this adds up or makes sense. Even chev-jame above said here has been there with step kids and done it……please try explain.

Aer is Army emergency relief loan thAt is done through the army. our car was shipped with our household goods. Omni does not go off of credit it is a mil loan that goes off of time in service And rank by a co called omni financial.My boys are with there father and his drug addict mom and pregnant g/f he is using his GI bill to go to school and is never there thAt leave the mom taking care of them…bad place- situation I have been acquiring furniture over ten years some from my work as an ins agent some from my hus pay in the mil some from my mom and friends who were leaving Hawaii and reached there max weight limit for household goods.my house is not full of furnature, the two nicest things I have are a oak dining table that my mom got me 8 years ago and a hand crafted cradle I ordered for my four yo before he was born. all of my furnature is 7 years and older.
I share custody with my x and I had no choice but to leave I have a 4 yo and a 1 yo to take take care of as well,my husband is mil and cannot take cAre of them while trying to inprocess in another duty station here. Getting on that plane was the hardest thing I have ever done.
Was I supposed to stay in hi homeless while the army flyes my husband and other two children, for two month until my 7-8 yo finished the school yeAr?And then come up with three tickets on my own? My x is supposed to help with the plane tickets but he said he doesn’t have his half .. So I am left with the entire thing and not enough money to book the tickets. I googled help found this site and read the info desperate for HELP. Why do I feel like im beinb attacked? I understand most people dont understand how the mil works when they say it is time to go you go they are supposed to make the transition easy on fam but for some reason for us it was one thing after another.maybe that clears up some things… I didnt post here to be attacked. I posted for help and advice, maybe help.com was a bad idea

Ok i see and my apologizes….also my lack of understanding of army launguage I would say.

Will I’m even more sorry and understand your situation clearly now.

I might be able to help as far as getting your flights at a mojor discount if you can come up with this amount $125 each kid so total $250.00 for two flights from Hawaii to NC or where you are now…I have a freind who works for an airline and she can get them on what is called a buddy pass. These are stand by flights which I can explain if you want to go this route. So if you can get together $250 I can help with this much. I would put you directly in contact with my gf and and the two of you can work out details. Wow! I have to say this is really messed up and as a mother can understand your desperation. I want to help in anyway I can but this is the best I can do for you.

What chev-jame mention speaking to your husbands commander. Has your husband done this? Let me know if this helps you and can go from there.

We live I nc now the nearest airport is fayetteville or Raleigh we live In between the two. But my boys are 7-8 and can only fly by themselves on a direct flight from point a-b I dont know if there is a direct flight from hi to nc…/ I know there is from hi to sac ca and my fam is in ca. Of there is a direct flight that is GREAT ! Or of the airline can take them from arrival gate to the departure gate to proceed Om the trip that is great also. Im not to sure. I do know that I am up All night worried about my boys. I am so happy You
