Honestly, how do you forget someone whom you love (not lust) and they fell the same but are afraid that going further will make things worse?

This has been eating me away ever since a conversation with the person about two months ago. It’s gotten so bad mentally for me that I’ve wanted to end my life. Help.

You don’t. :( Just resolve to love them forever, and be happy about it.

You have to stop obsessing, too. Find something else to think about. Listen to music they didn’t like, go places they hated, spend time with people who never knew them. Just slowly move away from whatever life you shared.
