My friend and I are starting a non-profit organization and I want to have a video competition.

I just am unsure of what to do for a prize. The winner will get a t-shirt and their video will be featured with their permission. But I want something more. Like a grand prize. HELP?

Ah YOU want to GIVE, because you said that you want to HAVE a competition, and what the winner will GET, and that you’re unsure of what to DO for a prize.
 
So you want to ORGANIZE yourself a competition, right?

A good prize could be a premium video camera, the latest one, sponsored by the manufacturer …

Like Zirbel said, look for a sponsor to offer the prize. Make sure you let the sponsor know how you are going to market the compition so they can see how it will be advertizement for them.
