Hmm maybe. I’m pretty good with pain though.. But it doesn’t make me any happier really
genuine happiness requires spontaneity and an attitude that will allow it to occur. neither of those things will make you happier, they only make happiness possible.
:)
Happiness comes from taking a walk through the forest.
I think it varies from person to person. Material possessions might make some people happy. Some people might be happy just spending time with friends and family. There are also a few people whose happiness is derived from helping others. Actually, I wouldn’t find it surprising if this website is the greatest source of happiness to some people.

Happiness is not happiness
The important thing to happines Is the product of the equation
The mind is the source of happiness and unhappiness. Happiness in one’s self makes everything on the outside a more pleasant place. Wow, I feel so zen…
I’ve heard that helping others is the quickest and surest way to achieve happiness.

Maybe they were trying to brainwash me into slaving away. Personally I find that taking a walk in the rain lightens my mood, unless I have stuff in my backpack that shouldn’t get wet.
To know that there is no such thing as perfection and to stop reaching for it, even when you’re happy there’ll always be something to make you think “I wish I had that”
i helped a guy from church today, he just moved. I got shelf liners
The mission guys just loaded everything, took everything out of the shelves
took off the contact sticky paper & lined em with rubber shelf liners
He had plates, maybe 20 deifferent kinds, same with glasses
He had cans of food up the wazoo & boxes Hambuger helpers & potatoes
It was bloody unbelievable
I got done with the cupboards & walked home, it’s 103 outside
I had to get out of there
here today gone tomorrow. happiness is always running away. I set out some corn syrup in the yard and watched the squirrels stalking the dish. and they were so intent. so focused. Is that how you stalk happiness?
oh! I moved and they ran away.

If you’re a squirrel, yes.
If he’s happier with rubber shelf-liners then you made him happier, which by the do-unto-others-as-you’d-have-them-do-unto-you eqution should make you happier. Or at least your shelf liners might upgrade.

Corn Syrup = Happiness
but even if I bait happiness, I still have to be patient enough to let it get close enough. and then maybe, just maybe… If I just be really still a moment longer, it will get closer and then… I can reach out and grab it!
mine. mine. all mine.
my precious
If you want happiness for an hour – take a nap. If you want happiness for a day – go fishing. If you want happiness for a month – get married. If you want happiness for a year – inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime – help others.
Chinese proverb
Personally, I think it would be accepting who you are as a person and accepting that past, recent and future events have all brought you to this particular moment in your life. We’re still alive and kicking. :)
Or perhaps finding comfort in knowing you have fought for your beliefs, whatever they may be.
What makes you happy is liking yourself. I mean really appreciating and liking yourself.
You are who shows up with you every time you do something.
You are always there when you try new things or just sit on the coach.
It’s a thought and if you shoot down my reply like you did Marlin’s I wont be replying to your questions anymore.
There’s not really one way to answer this. The answer for you is individual. You would have to take the time to do your own homework and find out why you are unhappy and what would make you happy.

is this some kind of new rickroll?
:)
No you didn’t… I just take it personally when someone asks a question and then they fight with you about it or just disregard it. It doesn’t make sense to me. If you ask people a question and cannot use their insight just don’t respond or at least take the time to let them know their time mattered to you.
Scar might not have even shot you down either… I was in a mood when I wrote it. Sry Scar.
Marlin, I think your responses are thought out. It feels like the question matters to you almost as much as it matters to the person asking. I respect that.

No, don’t even worry about something like that. Just be happy. :)

well. that kind of thing will happen a lot on here. it’s all part of the process. don’t take it too personally.

Chi it does exist. Yes maybe not long term but then without the sad times. We would not notice or appreciate it. So like anything common it would lose its.value
