I need help on asking my boyfriend a question.

Background info: Recently I went through our nightstand drawer and found two empty condom packages wrapped in newspaper and an empty box where we usually keep them. Now in the past two months we didn’t have sex (I was on a business trip and was working overtime so that was the last thing on my mind/normally we have it 1-2 per month and that is fine for both of us). I want to ask him about it, especially since I was so busy I don’t remember if there was one piece left, two, three or none. But I want him to be truthful so I need help on how/when/where to start up a talk about it. Also, tips on how to spot if someone is telling the truth or not. Any suggestions?

The fact is you found empties…dont matter how many were left…you said you found what two empty packages? I’d say start there.

Now as far as spotting a lie…it’s mostly eye contact. Look him dead in the eye when you ask and watch what happens…if he dont look you in the eyes then it is likely he is lying.

Thanks for the help! I wanted to try last night but we were mostly with friends so I didn’t have the opportunity.

When I think about it now- it’s really hard to strike up a conversation. These sort of things don’t happen every day, and we have been together for years. I have a feeling he’ll say it was there all along and that I oversaw it because I was so busy and tired.

Well first you need to ask yourself…were they? I think you already know the answer to that one…and if he tries to convince you…well,for me that would constitute a breach of trust and IMHO…that is simply unforgivable.

I think you know what needs to be done here. You either don’t want to admit it…or don’t want to be single.

Either way if he’s willing to even make an attempt to take advantage of you being busy and tired…well,I’m just sayin.
