here’s what passed through my mind today
but please don’t die over it
to love is to increase the hell in your life, to completely love someone else is to die for them so if we should love our neighbor as ourselves then we should hurt ourselves to love ourselves and hurt ourselves more to love our neighbor, that’s a lot of hurt. so if Jesus died for us then why did he tell us all to hurt ourselves for each other? that would be a lot of pain in the world. And if we accept Jesus as the only sacrifice required, then does that mean we should still love our neighbor as ourselves (which would mean going through pain)? it seems a bit terrible the message Jesus was conveying.
also the bible says you can say to a mountain, move over there and it will be moved. well that’s not true.
so I have my doubts about how true the bible is.
please enlighten me if i’m not grasping something right here.
