So I’m watching Kidulthood and it’s pretty disturbing…

In terms of it’s really not that far from the truth :/ and that British teenagers are really like that. It makes me sick and ashamed to be British. Eden Lake is worse but Kidulthood hits home more coz I knew teenagers a bit like that when I was younger I just remember at least 7 or 8 boys came up to me randomly and said they wanted to fight me (I hadn’t even done anything or said anything) and me turning round and saying “Do what you want coz I don’t care” and they didn’t it was my first important lesson in life that people aren’t what they seem and facing up to your problems does help, but the school was a shithole that’s why I was so glad I left that school and went to another one.

But yeah what are your thoughts on the British youths of today?

Some people suck all over the world. You don’t have to be ashamed of being British just because of a few fictional shitheads. I suggest watching movies that make you feel good instead of bad though.

I love watching happy movies :) Legally Blonde, Muriel’s Wedding, Bridesmaids, etc but when I’m in a deep mood and I’ve had a crap day or w/e I will watch deep movies I recommend Kidulthood to anyone it’s so eye-opening about this generation it’s only disturbing because it’s shocking due to the fact that they’re teenagers and they’re doing drugs and beating each other up. The thing is though this film is so not that far from fiction coz of the London riots last year and the fact that people are getting stabbed in Britian all the time it’s like a huge thing, someone got stabbed not one hour from where I live but I don’t live in London. It’s just horrible and yeah people do suck all over the world many countries have many different problems, but when I think about what Britain used to be as a country and now it’s literally hoodies, youths people getting stabbed, underage unwanted pregnancies (Britain’s got one of the highest rates of teen pregnancy I’m not even lying), it’s not nice to live in it but yeah I see what you mean.

I get what you mean about watching a different sort of movie when you feel low. Lol I somehow usually end up watching Asian films like House of Flying Daggers and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon when I feel bad.

No idea what Kidulthood is. I have three grown up children who would never deliberately hurt anyone. I think you are a good person with good parents. Please don’t put al British people in the same catigory. It does not represent you and there are many good people in ‘Britain’ Study hard, make a perfect happy life for yourself, join clubs with your interests to enable you to meet similar people. Yes some schools are rough but what of the parents. You are blessed more than they. You could get books on martial arts just for self protection, they really are very simple or you gould take the courses? Whatever you do, be happ and safe. Respect ytourself, your parents and start a good path for others to follow
