Headache Help

I’ve had a headache for four days now.
It started on Monday afternoon, and turned into a full migraine monday night. I took some prescription pain medicine, got a cold wet cloth, put it on my forehead and found a quiet dark place.
Tuesday morning it hurt, but not TOO bad. I took some advil at work.
Wednesday it was a dull roar, but by the afternoon my muscles around my eyes had started twitching. So I drank a bunch of water, and snorted some salt water to try to make it quit hurting.
It’s thursday night now, and it’s about to flare back into a migraine again. I know because I can feel all my muscles in my neck and back tensing up. I’ve tried to take a steam bath, relax, but no luck. I just took some more prescription pain medicine. I have one of those bosses who’s like “unless you are dead you better come to work.” So I can’t call in and go to the doctor, and my next weekday off is almost two weeks away.
If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated. I’m dying here guys.

Here’s a tip, Shrimp. I read in a book that shrimp helps for headaches.

You should find out the trigger — that’s the main point!
And to battle the trigger.

My trigger for years was the overacidification of the stomach (e.g. drinking white wine or orange juice with an empty stomach before eating). I detected this just accidentally.
But others have an other trigger (hunger, noise, etc.)
Important: If you are attentive to your body you can feel the slow approach of a migraine attack, the first little signs. And then you have to take the strong painkiller AT ONCE! Don’t wait until the pain is there! Kill the peak early enough.

ALWAYS kill any physical pain and in its most early stage — otherwise your brain “learns” the pain and brings it back again and again, even if there is no physical reason anymore.

Could also be in your case that you need a brain check-up.

That’s a very good reply and it is true. Aldo if you haven’t, see a doctor. Sometimes thinking that things will get better, will help make things better. It is called the plasebo affect. I just relised that this happens all the time in many situations.

I get endless headaches when I’m dehydrated. Just drinking water isn’t enough sometimes. My body needed electrolytes too.

Yes, find your trigger. Whatever it is, focus on that and bamo, no headache.
