Yeah def when I’m in my thirties I’d love two little girls and a nice bloke (if such a thing exists) but until then I actually wanna live my life see the world, explore etc you can’t really do that if you’ve got kids and a ton of bills to be worrying about.

Maybe your answer would be “a loving family” — and maybe everyone would call you horrible for wanting what you want.

does wanting make a better life? does getting make a better life? does comfort make a better life?

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes.

all people want this even if they don’t know it.

the purpose of life is to gradually perfect ourselves from where we are now
to the level of a master like Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed, Krishna, Hercules, etc.
we do this by reincarnating over and over again in groups.
We go through five steps:
1/ mastery over the physical plane.
2/mastery over the astral plane( emotional plane)
3/mastery over the mental plane.
4/the crucifixion
5/resurrection

Jesus demonstrated those 5 steps 2000 years ago.
when you reach the fifth step you are permanently free.(saved)

I did this by renting a condo. The difference is that those are like apartments but they’re individually owned. Someone who owns a whole complex is not likely to cut a deal for one apartment, but someone who owns one place and doesn’t want to live in it might take any offer rather than leave it empty while they live somewhere else. It’s still a waste of money, considering that you could instead be paying just a little more for mortgage and be taking ownership of your own property (perhaps renting it out at the same time.)

Yeah… but maybe I’ll buy it later on. We’ll see how much I like it there if I ever am even able to live there. I need to start out with a couple of roommates because I refuse to go to the cheap apartments in the ghettos.

Most people just want to be happy. Actually they mean content. To be content you have to accept certain limitations in your life. For example not to be special and to be humble. I guess that doesn’t include you, so I guess you’ll never be happy.

I don’t know
what I want in life;
it’s always changing.

all I know
is that I want
all the time.

even when I’m happy
and content,
a small part of me
is still wanting,
still wanting,
still wanting
this moment
to never end.

What i want from life…Peace. I want a little bit of land in the isolated english countryside. Be free from unneeded technology (tv,cars,computers/i know i’m using one now). And i want to farm, not with tractor and pesticides but with hard manual labour. I want to live my life simply and hope to have a family live that way to. But of course, nothing comes free and easily, and rarely in the form you want it, but with God as my witness i will earn this peace before the end of my life.

you don’t have to earn peace. also cars are good, what if you needed to get to a hospital or wanted to visit relatives in another country? all that great computer technology in the planes makes that possible for example.

I won’t deny that in an emergancy technology is useful. But i feel technology makes the world more complicated than it needs to be. It’s understandable if you feel otherwise, but i prefer (in what i view as)simplicity.

I’d say it’s not technology that makes the world more complicated but how we use it. but if it wasn’t there, then we couldn’t use it badly, so in some ways it can complicate the world but it does often make life easier, I couldn’t live without amplifiers. but I think you’re talking about certain kinds of technology like tv, internet, complex mobile phones maybe? I’d agree that it’s easy to dislike tv because there’s so much crap on and many aspects of computing don’t deal with what we need, it’s often about making money, selling products or providing digital entertainment which has no real value unless you can experience it in the company of others and it’s kind of a step away from our basic needs like taking care of each other, enjoying the release of hunger, and it’s a lot more rewarding than delving into the world of digital “entertainment” when you deal with your own basic needs and even give a child some water or something and see them become more alive. i’m happy to accept that there’s bad technology and good technology.

I think we’ve reached common ground. There is good and bad technology, i can’t stand the constant upgrading of phones, i’ve had mine for 3 years, rarely used but still serves it’s purpose. When it comes to TV i just think it’s valueless now. Should i have kids i wouldn’t want them watching much if any tv but i still like the idea of going to the cinema cos it’s a group thing, more social and a better experience in general. I think going out for movie is a good reminder that there is a entertaining life beyond the sofa.
