Why maybe that guy seems missing suddenly?

A guy hangs out more often with girl he treated indifferently. The guy and girl talk freely and joke a lot. The guy is married. girl and guy’s wife are close friends. Around the same time that guy is getting back acquainted with girl. They both were among friends who started talking about love and marriage. then suddenly afterwards for over a week, girl not seeing guy, and hear guy not feeling well. A coincident?
