sleep help: So, I’ve said I don’t care.. - Help.com

So, I’ve said I don’t care..

Guess that wasn’t right. If you dont care about something then it shouldn’t bother you or be the cause of your worries and insomnia. I think a better word is passion. Lack of passion and resolved to..

What do you do when you don’t have passion for all the things you used to enjoy doing? When you feel cold-hearted from a lack of interest in being around people… I don’t even bother with a smile or excuse.. I just walk away. I am tired.. and its not from a lack of sleep. Worst part is that I know all of these days are a waste. .

I count this as a rant. I don’t see how it can be helped.

Care and worry are synonymous in a way, so I think you are right in thinking that not caring yet still worrying is contradictory.

My only guess is that you’re depressed and should treat it like how people treat depression. Even if it’s a lot different than the symptoms of how many other people get depressed.

I think you should go on a vision quest or something, get out of your comfort zone and go on a voyage of discovery. This is a corny quote but aim for the moon and you could land among the stars.

The biggest barrier I see to you feeling better about everything is pretty well summed up in your last line about how you don’t see how it can be helped. It reminds me of how you similarly discount every solution that was been proven to work for many people.

You should go outside, someplace with plants and stuff, and just look around. Focus on the different textures and colors, that’s what I do. Then think about your life, think about how you’ve changed, what you can try to start enjoying things again. Bring a notebook and write whatever you want.

And just try again, and try new things. I’ve started just doing little abstract drawings because there’s no pressure.

I’m going to start writing more, and I think you should too. Maybe make one of those bubble.. trees? where you write a word in a bubble - or any shape- and branch off from there. I like making negative and positive ones, then thinking about how I can fix/change any of those to make life better.
Just free writing is great too, get everything out on paper.
