I was walking on the train and a woman had her dog sitting next to her.

It bit me for no apparent reason. Can I sue because of this?

it depends if it drew blood, i dont think you can sue but you could get it put down if there was blood

though im sure dogs who are allowed on trains dont tend to bite people without being provoked first

Did you report it at the time?

And did you take her details?

It’s caught on camera, from the train. And there’s witnesses.

Well then yes, I guess you can sue her.

Where are you based - the law on dangerous dogs varies?

Just know you might be responsible for its death if you do.

Did the woman apologize? Will she have the dog muzzled next time?

Life is all about scrapes and bumps. I cut myself this morning removing the label from a pair of pants. Let’s see . . . whom can I sue?

Unless you’re disfigured from the bite, I’d let it go . . . just as long as the woman realizes that her dog is aggressive and that she needs to keep her dog for nipping at people again!
