Quick query: My mother works at a petrol station and they have a scanner that detects fraudulent bank notes…

Despite this there are still some people who rush off etc before the note can be scanned.
My mum was told to put any known fraudulant notes at the ‘top of the pile’ and put them back into circulation i.e knowingly give a fake bank note as change to a customer.
This can’t be legal, can it (UK)? It’s certainly not fair on customer who then has to deal with the fake note.

Thanks… but she hasn’t given anyone fake money, she refused and as she’s only just got the job she could end up losing it because of this.

In that case you should be more observant and not assumptious, because I said “My mum was told to” not that she did.

Haha oh TOUCHE :) your rite haha i’m sorry i’d make a crap detective. If the Bank get the notes from your mums shop you see they will be destroyed and the shop will loose out on each note. So thats why she’s getting told to get rid of them like that. If it was my shop i’d do the same :)
