Where were you?

Thats for you to make up your mind about - no-one else should make it up for you.
Just remember this - If you wish to follow a god, make sure you follow him/her out of love of him/her, not out of fear of what he/she may do to you.
i’m afraid he won’t help me financially if i don’t do his will
Is God a thing to get cash from to you? Are you really asking for help to know what to do so you can get money from God?
By-the-way, I believe there is a God and no I don’t believe there is any punishment for not going to church. I believe there is punishment from people if you don’t go to church.

Well, let me please ask you a question.
“If you are in a relationship with someone, why would you want to be anywhere else?”
If you care, and deeply have affection for someone, wouldnt you want to be near that person? To do the things that the person would be pleased to do with you?
The church is the body of believers. And if you believe in God you would want to be with the people that also believe as you do.

What? Are you trolling?
Just in case you aren’t - god doesn’t give money - you’ll find that most churchs actually ask for money from you (tithes/donations etc)
Yea, I went to church for years, and years. I paid all my tithings and gave of my time, talents EVERYTHING for years. I even looked down on people who didn’t do that, “how could they be so unfaithful!” I would think. Then a time came that I needed the church. I was in trouble and just needed some help for a couple months so I didn’t lose everything while I searched for a job. Hmmm. Church wasn’t there. No one in the church was there. No help for me. hmmmm.
Went to another church, same thing. Went to another denomination even, same thing. Eventually I noticed the trend.
You have to find people who you build trust with and then ask those people for things like money. But truly money usually increases your situation so if you are in trouble now, you will be in bigger trouble then. Your real solution would be to figure out why you are in the situation you are in and start making changes. In the mean time, good luck finding a church that will help you. Sure some will here and there, I wouldn’t count on it.

me too. so I asked him, I said, “Hey God, do you want me to go to church?” And do you know what he said to me? He said, “Hell no mutherfocker! I have not given you the way and the truth and the life?”
“Well, Yes, you have.”
“Then what need have you to follow the dead?”
I do not believe in god and Although
Decision rather than the other, SOMETIMES no matter what is ,it could be a provocation.
I, personally, see the issue of punishment is something trivial.
If there was a God, I think he would forgive you for not going to church.
I believe in God. To me, God is the most selfless and fearless thing in existence. He protects and cares for us. If he is the God I know, he will not be angry or upset with you not going to church. Of course you should but don’t go because you’re afraid of being punished, go to serve God. He loves you and he believes in free will.

Excellent.
I agree.
I dont think its a question of “Can I not go to church and still be saved?”
I think if you are saved you will WANT to go to church.
If you are saved you GET to go.
Its not a “have to” go.
Its a “get to” go. Its a blessing to go. You will be more than happy to go. You will love to go and nothing could stop you from going.
