It’s a box all sides are of same size.
What would be its one side size if its perimeter is 600 square.
Thanks.

Where were you?

By box are you refering to a cube, or just 4 sides. Also, are you refering to perimiter, or surface area?
I am sorry yes its a cube.
Umm please tell me about both if you can about perimeter and surface area.
Why are you asking about this? Are you doing homework?
No. I am not doing any homework.
I didnt understand this my teacher solve this question and answer is 10 :)
but i didnt understand the method.
it’s me, it’s me…open it up I’m running out of air
and i have to use the bathroom :)

What this means is that the length of one edge is 10. If you multiply that out you’ll see that the total surface area of the box (the area of all six sides) is equal to 600 square units.
@fairytale its a square cube.
@mindhealer..what is the formula ?
I mean they said perimeter is sum of all sides length so if one side is X the perimeter will 6X ?

The formula is that the area of a square is the length of a side squared. X*X. And then a cube his six square sides all of equal area.
The word “perimeter” is somewhat misleading if your teacher wants you to find the area of all the sides, but, then again, that could be a good meaning for perimeter.
I said, “a cube his six square sides all of equal area.”
But I meant, “a cube has six square sides all of equal area.”
Sorry for my mis-spelling.
I think i understood.
Formula is 6x*x = 600
x*x =600/6
x*x = 100
x = 10 answer.
Thanks.
I was confused about formula.
The formula only matters if you know what it means. It’s too basic to be otherwise.
The area of a square is even said to be “the square of the sides”. The tricky part is knowing what “perimeter” means. Apparently it means the total area of all the sides.
So, after you understand you can write the formula in algebra, but not before you understand.
:(
i just .. I just remember the formula but i do not understand the meaning and my teacher said imagine the box in you imagination than try to figure out eveything but i cant.
Of course you can. Sometimes we get mental blocks to understanding. But you have internet access, you could read through a few pages about areas of squares and cubes, and then you’ll easily understand.
