So it has taken me awhile to come to this decision to ask for help from total strangers.

About seven years ago I moved from California to Massachusetts to help my parents out, moving away from school, my friends. My mother had been diagnosed with Endometriosis and had to have a Hysterectomy. After the operation she developed Lesions on her intestines, which caused he great pain, especially when she would have a bowel movement. My step-father had also recently lost his job and was trying to get a permanent job with the Park Service, which would lead him for months at a time without a job. Not too long after I had moved out her my mother also had lost her job, the company she had worked for had laid her off, for what they said was work force reduction, but with the daily increase in her pain it was most likely due to her being sick.

So for a few years I was the only person in my family making any real money, paying the bills, while my mother was disabled and step-father looking for a permanent job. This caused me to never be able to save any money, and realistically we were just scraping by. My father finally found a permanent job with the Park Service, but the down side it was in Virginia. With about a month and a half notice my parents would be moving to Virginia which I had decided to not move with them. Not wanting to worry about my parents being ok, I let them take the good car, and I would keep the older crappy car that has over 260,000 miles on it, a bad radiator, and bad catalytic convertors, basically time to get a new car. My plan was to move in with some friends which was going to cut down on my bills dramatically, save some money for a new car and other expenses for moving back to California, and move out there with the company I had currently been working for Geek Squad.

Which leads me to about a month ago, when I was one of the unfortunate people to get laid off by Geek Squad. This threw a wrench into all my plans, even with getting unemployment, I would not have enough money to get a new car and I don’t have a job to get a loan, enough money to move out to California, and no job in California to move to. My friends in California to this purpose have been incredible, being offered a place to stay out there until I get back on my feet, even as far as to letting me stay with them to go back to school to finish my degree. What I need now is some money for a new(ish)car to move back with, some for gas and food to move across country with, and to finish off my bills out here in Massachusetts. I have been staring at this for days now finally gulping down my last amount of pride and posting this to places where I think people would be willing to help. If you have read this far down I thank you for even taking the time to read my story, and if you donated anything I thank you from the bottom of my heart, your help is most appreciated!

I’m sorry about all of that, but this isn’t a place to ask for donations, I think that’s even against the rules.

I don’t really know how to help you, but maybe try making some crafts and selling things.

I hope things get better soon, good luck!
