Hi, I have a mini fridge 220-240 v with a figure 8

connector, i lost the wire/plug/connector for the fridge but have a similar 1 from an old set of speakers, but it has 250v / 13amp on it.

Can i use this on the mini fridge? it plugs in fine and it did work when i tried it, but is it safe to keep using? will it break/blow up?

it looks ok and worked, but i turned it off after about 15secs to be on the safe side, i thought i’d ask around before trying it again.

13 amps is really to high a value for a fridge.
Go buy a smaller fuse for the fridge.Check the fridge name plate
and if it say 3 amps then put in a 5 amp fuse.
Its easy to change the fuse.Only cost less than $1

theres no name plate only says on the side were the wire plugs into it, it says 220-240v ac-dc.

its not an actual fridge its a mini portable 1 for drinks really with mains plug and/or car adaptor. i have neither plugs, only the smililar plug from my old speakers which is 250v (10 higher than what it says on the fridge).

I will check up on that though, thanks for the replies.
