Plastic Liter Bottles in Hot Cars?

My mom tends to leave liter bottle juices and sodas in the car. And since it’s summer here, the car tends to heat up. This freaks me out because I hear a lot of stories that the plastic can deteriorate (I don’t know if it has to be in direct sunlight or mere extreme heat though) and that it can make people sick. We live in a hotel so we have no refrigerator and limited space, and that’s part of the reason why she keeps them in the car. But it really scares me that I’m ingesting harmful chemicals. :/

I heard today (not sure if it’s true or not) that drinking water from plactic bottles that have been left in a car can cause cancer due to a content of the plastic.

She should bring them into the hotel, even if you don’t have a fridge in there, they will be coooler than being in the car.

You could full a sink with cold water & keep them in there.
