Hello, I am a gay person and I live in Pakistan.

Over here we have laws that can get me executed since I am the world’s biggest sinner and just a threat to the survival of the entire mankind. Since I was born, I have been living a socially miserable life here. Yes I have a great family and they put food and water in front of me, but sadly what I have is just unacceptable. I was thinking of emigrating since I am 20 years old now and live a life where I have friends and people who love me for who I really am. However I do not have the finances or expertise required to go to a more tolerant country. Is there any international organization or something that can help me with this???

Join the Pakistan Gay Rights Movement on Facebook. Maybe they can help you.

You can also ask for asylum in the U.K. like he did:

I’ve been to your country. And I’ve worked to get persecuted Christians out of Pakistan.

I’m afraid you are totally out of luck. The United Nations won’t lift a finger to help you. You cannot claim asylum because Pakistan is considered to be everyone’s “ally” in the war against terrorism. The Pakistanis who’ve emigrated elsewhere never seem willing to lift a finger to help one of their countrymen leave.

Your best strategy is to simply lie low and stay underneath the radar. I don’t have to tell you what would happen if you’re ever caught in a “liaison” with another guy over there!
