Hey ekibbe, my mom is a member of this company where you earn money for getting people in. She started about 2months ago and has earned her first check. The whole point is to get people to be a member (membership 200$) and have people sign under you. So its like a chain of members and each person has a different amount of branches depending on how many members get in. Im not a member yet because i’ve got other stuff to pay off first, but nevertheless I WILL join. It sounds promising and We’ve been goin to these seminars about the company (QuickStar) and members and non members go to hear peoples testimonies on how QuickStar got them out of debt. Wow there’s a lot of crap on here. Makes me wonder if I should even post anything if everyone is out to scam everyone else. All of these posts seem very fishy to me. I am a mortgage lender in Orem, UT, and love helping people get financing for their homes. I’ve become pretty good at helping people improve their FICO scores, and would be happy to share with you some quick fix tips. For example, if you know someone (parent, sibling, good friend) who has a good long history on a credit card or two, and who isn’t carrying a large balance, have them add you as an authorized user, and that will boost your score. FHA loans really have NO minimum FICO score, but even if you can’t get an FHA loan, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to have 20% down. There are tons of options. But yes, your FICO score is probably the biggest help or hinderance in getting approved for a loan. If I were you, I would go to www.myfico.com and sign up for a free 30 day trial of their Score Watch (I think that’s what it is). Anyway, it will give you some “what-if” scenarios that you can run through and see what you can do to improve your score. And you’ll get a copy of your Equifax report. I am glad to know that you have gotten a lot of help already… there is no doubt all of them are great!
Allow me to give you my input too. I am in the real estate and mortgage industry too and I was wondering if your realtor considered to have the seller to finance the 20%… It is just a strategy! like any business everything is negotiable so if the seller is willing to and accepts it then you got your home!
Another one is to get a “co-borrower” who has a higher score or say a FICO score that is more beneficial for you then the lender will use the score from the co-borrower and/or they can also use the income of the co-borrower to strengthen the transaction.
There are so many way of doing it but of course it depends on your nmortgage lender’s and/or realtor’s willingness to help you out and not only that but their abilities to put deals together.
No offense but the real estate and mortgage industry is a very “crazy” business and againd depends on the ability of the people who is helping you.
